Air operated Knife Valves are used in any situation where a low cost, reliable actuated valve is required. Whether you need a valve firing open and closed all day or a simple remote actuation solution these are hard to beat.

The linear movement of the gate of a Knife Gate Valve makes it very easy to actuate with a simple pneumatic cylinder (sometimes called a pneumatic ram). Apply air to one cylinder port and the valve opens, apply it to the other and it closes - Simple. Even easier if you take it pre-fitted with a solenoid valve.

All VG Pneumatic Knife Gate Valves are fitted with a cylinder sized, designed and built specifically for the VG valve - no separate adaption plates, no separate clevis. The base of the cylinder is a single aluminium casting bolted directly to the valve support plates, the piston rod is stainless.

Every valve is pre-drilled and tapped for Guards, End of Travel Switches and Solenoid Valve. This is true even for manually operated valves so converting from manual to pneumatic couldn't be easier.

Unlike some manufacturers, all VG Pneumatic Slide Valves are supplied fitted with Stainless protection guards.
