Axial Check Valves, are also
called Spring Check Valves or
Sprung Disc Check Valves because, as
the disk moves from the seat, it compresses a spring mounted in line
with the disc.
They fall broadly into two
categories
Guided Axial Check Valves
where the disc is connected to a shaft which runs within a
guide.
Unguided Axial Check Valves, a
less complicated design without a shaft, this type allows a shorter
installed length and so most are wafer pattern.
Because of the sprung design both types are suitable for
mounting in any orientation, however, care must be taken when
selecting for downward vertical forward flow.
All our ranges of Axial Check Valves are simple, robust designs
capable of operating over a wide range of conditions.

Guided Axial Check Valves Threaded
A simple little valve with Brass body, Nitrile & Nylon
Disk and Stainless Spring. Rated 10 Bar up to DN50 (2")
and 8 Bar on the larger sizes, the ends are screwed BSP
Parallel.
A good little work horse with an excellent hydraulic
profile.
The CA1100 Screwed Axial Check Valve comes in the
following sizes
DN 10, DN 15, DN 20, DN 25, DN 32, DN 40,
DN 50, DN 65, DN 80, DN 100.

Guided Axial Check Valves Flanged
Similar concept to the Screwed version except the Disc is
dome shaped. Type CA 3241 is Cast Iron Bodied with
Nitrile seat and stainless spring. Drilled and rated
PN16, other drillings available.
The CA3241 Flanged Axial Check Valve is available in
the following sizes
DN 50, DN 65, DN 80, DN 100, DN 125, DN
150, DN 200, DN 250, DN 300.
Or in Imperial
2 Inch, 2
1/2 Inch, 3 Inch, 4 Inch, 5 Inch, 6 Inch,
8 Inch, 10 Inch, 12 Inch.

Axial Check Valves Wafer Pattern
Our Standard Sprung Check Valve is the CA7440. Rated
PN16 to suit PN16 and other flanges.
Type CA7440 varies its material configuration throughout
the size range:
DN32 to DN50 Brass Body, Stainless Disc
& Spring Retainer
DN65 to DN100 Cast Iron Body,
Stainless Disc & Spring Retainer
DN125 to DN200 Ductile
Iron Body, Cast Iron Disc & Spring Retainer
All sizes
have a Stainless spring, Face to Face dimensions to EN558
Series 49 (DIN 3202/3 Series K4).
This Standard Wafer Axial Check Valve is available in the
following sizes
DN 32, DN 40, DN 50, DN 65, DN 80, DN 100,
DN 125, DN 150, DN 200
Or in Imperial
1 1/4 Inch, 1 1/2
Inch, 2 Inch, 2 1/2 Inch, 3 Inch, 4 Inch, 5
Inch, 6 Inch, 8 Inch.
For DN 15, DN 20, DN 25 (1/2
Inch, 3/4 Inch, 1 Inch) we use the Stainless version
below.

Stainless Axial Check Valves Wafer Pattern
For applications where the material configuration or
pressure rating does not suit type CA7440 we have
the type CA6460.
Virtually the same valve as the CA7440 spring check valves but all
Stainless rated PN40.
Wafer pattern to suit PN10,
PN16, PN25, PN40 and others.
Face to Face again to
EN558 Series 49 (DIN 3202/3 Series K4).
The Stainless version of our Wafer Axial Check Valve
is available in the following sizes
DN 15, DN 20, DN 25, DN
